SoCompetent is a unique and fully-free concept of skill sharing that allows anyone to improve their everyday life with occasional or regular proximity services while providing opportunities to develop, change activity, validate their experience or simply supplement their income…

SoCompetent concept

We created SoCompetent because we do believe that everyone has many skills that remain too often unused. Our talents can be of use in all fields of activity (plumbing, baby-sitting, mechanics, gardening, housekeeping, councelling, teaching, …), whatever our experience, age, either a man or a woman, retired, employee, freelance, unemployed or even student!

Based on a simple concept, SoCompetent is a user-friendly and fully-free online medium connecting people willing to work together.

How SoCompetent works

Every member of the community can either post their "skills" or ask for services from a "skilled" person in the framework of a well-defined mission.

These missions and skills are classified according to their fields of activity (housekeeping, catering, health,…) and specify the level (beginner, intermediate, expert), the location, the duration and the availability. Everyone can then view the offers and profiles then contact each other. If both parties want to collaborate, they settle an agreement specifying the service, the mission duration and the rate.

SoCompetent also provides individuals with clear, practical and free information on labour legislation (working retired, cumulating multiple jobs, layoff procedure).
